You can help.

Volunteers are needed to learn the skills of the Boat Crews, to move the Boats about the area, to assist in maintaining and preserving them, and to explain them to the Public at functions and rallies.

If you have particular skills or have never been on a canal boat before you will find this an enjoyable activity. You will visit some of the interesting and secret places in our cities and the countryside, and see the activities that brought the goods to the cities to establish the Industrial Revolution.

Full training will be given on the navigation and operation of the boat, and you will see some wonderful places in the most unlikely locations.

To join us please speak to one of the crew at any of our events or contact the Jessica Black, Events and Volunteer Executive,  at British Waterways, Peels Wharf, Litchfield Street, Fazeley Tamworth, Birmingham.
